This thread full of mostly ignorant people, please educate yourself or better yet try and empathise with these people.
They need to run from a war-torn country just allow it, camerons plan of 20k allowed in 5-years is a JOKE. This crisis is happening now, we should take 20k people right now and more across 5-years.
The UK fuked these people by Arming assad with chemical weapons then arming ISIS(before they were ISIS) during the start of Syrias civil war. It is our responsibility to look after these people seeing as we shit on them.

how would you possibly know something like that any of those People could be apart of isis
So could any of the Muslims currently living in EU countries.
If you use, 'they could be part of ISIS' as an excuse for not allowing these migrants in then you must also be in favour of deporting every single Muslim currently living in an EU country.

Woodkid wrotethe thing is Isis is a Muslim extremist group so of course they're near enough all Muslims. I do agree that we shouldn't just suspect them to be part of Isis. Its probably only something like 0.1 or 0.2% of the refugees coming into Europe what are associated with Isis. Even that is far too high!koolFISH wroteNostril wroteGavin- wrote 2020, ISIS takes over europe.Ignorance is real. These people have nothing to do with ISIS.

It was only early this year that ISIS said they were going to be bringing their troops in with refugees. So I personally see this as a bad idea. Don't get me wrong I think its shocking what's going on in their countries and no one deserves to go through they have been through. But I'm just saying that David Cameron needs to look at the big picture.

You are both suggesting that because a risk is posed to your health we should turn away thousands, many of whom will certainly die horribly without our aid.
I was raised to believe that even if there is a risk of you getting hurt you should always help someone in need.
Even if these refugees are members of ISIS they still need to get their hands on guns and bombs in Britain to commit any large attacks.
The police here are very good at counter-terrorism, so am I worried? No.
Even if ISIS did get into Britain in large numbers, which they won't, they'll be committing crimes in a country strong enough to fight back instantly and advanced enough to medically treat those who are injured.

There's so much ignorance on this post. The people going to these countries are refugees that are simply trying to live! There weren't nearly this many refugees when Syria was stable. They do not go to certain countries for benefits, some countries don't even accept them because their RELIGION. These are human beings being slaughtered daily when no protection at all. They will go anywhere to simply live in peace. You guys know where this whole situation started with initially so it is needless to say that they were only partially responsible for the instability.
The average Syrian is NOT A TERRIORIST, just a person working to feed his/her family and live. I've personally been to countries that have taken Syrian/Iraqi refugees and they came with nothing and struggled to make something and they did a lot. Iraqis in America have worked so hard from nothing and opened stores, restaurants and generally just did anything to be able to live. In Egypt, Syrians have opened their own mall from nothing! And plenty more examples...
These are human beings looking for a life, some areas in Syria are completely unfit for living, they're dying in their homes, and dying trying to leave. Men, women, and CHILDREN die daily from unfair circumstances and being afraid of them because their country is deteriorating from a terrorist group is completely unfair and truly shallow.
