Same here about Elder Scrolls Online, it's either people really love it, or like it sucks, and it isn't like an elder scrolls, lol.

I've played Skyrim a bit, it was fun. ESO is awesome, love it. I would recommend getting it.

The game is decent. Their is the pros, and cons. One of the cons being your going to need XBL at all times to be able to play the game. Its a great game to spend some free time on, and play with friends.

Depends, if you like mmorpgs then get it, if you're not sure if you'll like that kind of game try Neverwinter , which is extremely similar to ESO, but it's free!

it depends on the person. If you like MMORPG games, then it should be right down your alley.
i think a lot of people bought the game with the pretense that it was going to be TES VI, which it isnt, It does play in some respects similar to an TES game and if you have played any of the previous games you will pick the game up pretty easily.
As for whether its a good game or not, i would say Yes and no, its quite a simplified MMORPG in comparison to games such as WOW, in as much as, its more forgiving when it comes to dungeons and things than games such as WoW, that being said some of the veteran dungeons are insanely hard.
Fun wise, its very fun when playing with friends or a guild, i would advise before starting maybe seeing if you have a friend who has the game or even looking on here for recruiting guilds. Questing on your own can be very boring, having a friend along for some laughs on the way, not only means you can do the quests that little bit easier, but it means you wont have to run around doing every single side quest squeezing every drop of EXP out of mobs to be able to move on to a new area and finish that quest you need.
It does have a pretty cool crafting aspect to the game too that is pretty easy to get into with all the familiar TES skills, black smithing / clothing / alchemy / enchanting and a few that arent like carpentry etc that are worth looking into, especially alchemy and provisioning as they allow you to make some pretty powerful buffs early on that help out massively too!
Also have a look at some youtube videos of how to play as your class and what races suit the build you want too, as it helps when speccing ;)
good luck

Last year, I've beta tested ESO several times.
The first time was wonderful after waiting 11 months for an invite. But after resetting two-three times, I lost interest in the game. (Got stuck at level 10 three times.) Gave the game another chance this year after being invited back for a weekend, only played one day though.
It's changed quite a bit and a wonderful game to play with friends, hope you enjoy your experience.
