Hello, recently I decided I needed to get a good gaming PC. One that could run most games on a high setting so I went on PC Part Picker and made a build that came to 1200 pound which is in my budget. However, I don't want to buy all these parts to then find out they are not compatible with each other. Especially at the price I am paying. So it would be cool if you guys could check to see that all these parts are compatible. Here are all the parts:

That build could do with some work to be honest.
GTX 980 isnt worth the premium, PSU is poor along with the cooler.
Answer the above so we can put a build together for you.

Compatible, but terrible. If you made this on PCPP, you could've just used a link instead of writing it all out.
Unlocked CPU on a B85 chipset motherboard? Completely nonsensical. GTX 980 is not worth the premium over a 970, but a 390 would be a wiser choice. R9 390 offers GTX 980 performance for a little less than the cost of a GTX 970. You're spending more than you should on an SSD, you could get an SSD with twice as much storage for the same price.

That build looks alright but the monitor is ridiculously expensive. Might do that with an i7 and a cheaper monitor..

That monitor is a 1440p monitor, it's not just any old 1080p monitor lol. The 390 is pretty much a 1440p card. So gaming at 1440p is a no brainer. I'd keep the monitor he suggested.

It's not "ridiculously expensive" at all, it's very well priced actually. An i7 would be a waste, especially since you have no interest in overclocking, and are using the rig for gaming.

It's not "ridiculously expensive" at all, it's very well priced actually. An i7 would be a waste, especially since you have no interest in overclocking, and are using the rig for gaming.
I can't tell the difference between a 1080p and a 14440p monitor and wouldn't be that bothered even if I could. I am happy with the monitor I chose. Just the PC I want to improve.
