It does not matter if there is already another thread created about the same discussion.. If he wanted to start his own then he can. And if you would close a thread because of that reason there is no wonder you can not do it any more and do not deserve to be able to do it.!

I can't think of a reason why both of these threads are required for the same topic. The other one was created first and has more response. If we all posted in the same topic, there would be more discussion and the forum would be tidier.

That's fair enough!, but you would not be as ignorant has that other guy and Wish he could remove it.

For a start we did not carelessly start bombing country's mate. We bombed one specific space, in which to ISIS Clowns were planning to attack the UK.

Please do your research before you post things like that

I think you forgot the invasion of Iraq by the U.S. and UK was pretty careless, considering there were no WMDs, it created ISIS, and destabilized the entire region forever.

I understand why they accepted refugees but the fact there is most likely ISIS troops in there is scary.. suprised US/Britain hasn't done something against ISIS yet.

I believe there is not one single, good, reason why these refugees should not be allowed into Britain, or any other country.

The people who are saying that they shouldn't be allowed in are essentially saying that removing the small chance of them being killed by ISIS is worth the deaths of all of these refugees. That takes a selfishness, hubris, and cowardice, that I can't even begin to fathom.

US and UK drone strikes have killed hundreds of innocent civilians and children and these people are willing to turn them away because they are afraid of the monster that their tax money has helped to create and fund in both arms and numbers.
What do we think the brothers, fathers, and sons of the civilians and children killed in these drone strikes do? Shrug it off and blame ISIS? No, they blame the US and UK and join ISIS. Since the war on terror started terrorism has grown massively all around the world.
Now the victims of our carelessness have come for help and we are going to say no to them?

That doesn't and never will sit well with me.

Interesting to hear everyone's different opinion on the matter. And I think everyone's opinion should be valued, which is the reason that I started this thread in the first place.

skatertg wrote Wish I could still close threads.
There is too much ignorance surrounding this topic on TTG, people disregarding the fact we created and partly funded all of the "Terrorist groups" in the Middle-east.
Most people on here are unable to empathise with refugees running for their lives because of a situation the UK/US put them in when the Syrian civil war began.

pls close thred staf

I understand where you're coming from, it might of been slightly pointless starting a new thread but I wanted to hear people's opinion and discuss it with them. And I also agree that we set ourselves up for this to happen as we did contribute to the funding of these terrorist groups.

Germany is back peddling very quickly and the people who praised them are nowhere to be found. A redditor sent me a link to a very reputable site that said 70%+ of the people coming in were men, those aren't exactly families. Some of those likely have some ties to terrorism whether it be ISIS or Al Qaida. No one wins by taking in mass amounts of refugees other then the refugees themselves.

Sure the invasion didn't help but they weren't doing too great to begin with. Though I do agree we **** over Saddam, he was an asshole but he was our asshole.

Government let other's into our country, now it's not a bad thing but we also have British Soldiers coming back from fighting and being left in the streets.

I think a question they need to ask them selves. Is it more important to give aid to those who are fleeing their country or give aid to those who come back from protecting our country. there is no easy answer.
