I'm interested to see the opinions on whether you guys prefer Petrol or Diesel engined cars and what you drive.
Both have their own pros and cons, give your reasoning for you answer.
For me it's petrol. I've drove both diesel and petrol and for me the only reason you'd drive a diesel is for the higher MPG. Petrol engines are more fun to drive in my view.

Although diesels get better MPG, diesel is often more expensive in my area and really expensive to fix. I will never own a diesel car, but I am aiming towards a diesel truck in the future, but I may just as equally stick to gas.

You get less MPG in a petrol? I am confused on what you are saying. Petrol motors give you more fun for sure, but diesels are good commuting engines. Less harmful than a petrol too.

Well I have only driven a petrol powered bike and I enjoy it... Most of the time it costs me less than £5 for fuel.
My dad has driven both diesel and petrol but preferred diesel.
He use to own a Skoda Octavia 2.0l tdi few years back, we drove from just outside Glasgow to Alton towers and back on a full tank of diesel.
One of the reasons he liked it was for the mpg
