OT: You could just turn down your screen brightness down, and turn flight mode on when you don't need signal, as it will stop your phone searching for a network/connection.

Both of them help your battery life.

lol that drawing lol its like my 4 year old brother trying to show me a game he played and good post i would recomend all stuff off and flight modee and have a still picture not a dynamic one that moves i.e the bubbles one and i would close back ground apps that are taking up processing

This isn't so much to save battery, but for charging. If you turn on flight mode while your phones on the charger, it'll speed it up. I use this when I'm in a hurry.

Another fun fact people might not know, charging youre iPhone on flight mode charges it quicker

Having portrait-orientation lock on and having wifi on and having do not disturb on will not affect battery life whatsoever. If anything, not being connected to wifi will cause your phone to be searching for LTE, which will cause it to drain faster. Do not disturb is going to make your phone on silent, so it won't vibrate. When your phone vibrates is drain battery as well.

The only thing that would help your battery not drain in the control center would be turning bluetooth off.
