The other day I was at Costco shopping with my mom. I look ahead of us on line and two women are paying for their food and drinks with food stamps. Now this itself I have no issues with because if you cannot afford food then it is not your fault and it was designed to help people afford things, but what these ladies wore made me angry. Both had Jordan sneakers, Victoria's Secret Pink leggings, and Michael Kors handbags which are all very expensive. I think if you can afford groceries if you can purchase these.

Never know could be fakes.

But it's the same in the UK.

Designer clothes/handbags etc and claiming they're poor.

From what I could see the shoes were real but I could not examine the handbag closely.

Maybe they are poor but they have a shopping addiction pushing them further and further into debt?

Perhaps gifts or maybe they are just straight up fraudsters.

I dunno, it just seems very shady that they would have both without a rational explanation.

Do you really think they were real? More than likely knock-off designer shit. Now I know some people are in fact like that but all of the stuff you mentioned they would not be able to afford and be on food stamps. Unless they were doing some illegal activity.

As said above, the bag looked legit from a few feet but the shoes were 100% but some people lie if they really are poor

I've seen kids in highschool that would wear jordans and stuff but were dirt poor. Never understood it to be honest.

Just people using using the system. Sorry but it's the truth. People are to lazy to work, and when they get a limited amount of money ( Paycheck) they would rather buy things they want rather then what they need. So foodstamps lets them get the things they need, so they can buy what they want. Im all in for food stamps, only for the people that actually need them.

Well, my bad for not reading. Apologies OP

He stated the ladies were purchasing food and a soda, not clothes man; and yes I completely agree with the OP.

If you can afford designer named clothing you should be able to supply food for simply yourself or your family if you have one, food is more valuable then clothing materials, if I were them return the clothes buy some Walmart clothes and purchase groceries so they don't look like skinny hood rats.

That's so terrible, and really an abuse of the system, if they are being fraudulent.. they make the people who really need assistance look terrible
