For a start we did not carelessly start bombing country's mate. We bombed one specific space, in which to ISIS Clowns were planning to attack the UK.
Please do your research before you post things like that
I think you forgot the invasion of Iraq by the U.S. and UK was pretty careless, considering there were no WMDs, it created ISIS, and destabilized the entire region forever.
That's the entire problem, whilst Iraq wasn't the best under Hussein, he kept the country in order and didn't allow terrorists groups to exist or spread, then he dies and Iraq becomes an even bigger mess. Libya is the same with Gaddafi, he kept the country in control but ever since he died, groups like ISIS are trying to take control. This is why at this moment we can't removed Assad because that will just lead to Syria becoming more unstable and allowing ISIS to take full control. I'm glad Putin has the sense to assist Assad in fighting ISIS even though I don't like the man that much

I don't understand how you can live with yourself knowing you have/are gonna kill people. That's just sickening.

I have the same opinion my grandparents had on the Jewish refugees in the 1930's and 40's.

We are damned if we do and damned if we don't !.
Just like when our nations got involved with the politics of the middle east.
The rest of the civilised world was screaming for action in the middle east and everybody was pointing the finger at the western superpowers to act ,But now we have come full circle and everybody is pointing the finger of blame.
Fact..
The west can NOT prop up/feed/and rebuild the middle east and prop up /feed and continue to build the western world.
So if the hard choice is us or them ,I choose us!.

I agree entirely that the west should have stayed out of the middle east from the get-go, but we didn't and now we have to accept responsibility for the pain and suffering we have caused in that area of the world.
If that means accepting refugees into our countries then I am perfectly fine with it, turning them away will only lead to more death and devastation.
But there's the rub. David Cameron and President Obama are saying how much they care about the refugees but continue their drone strike campaigns in the Middle East, displacing more and more innocent people.

'I won't give my opinion' -> 'Gives opinion'
You're not racist automatically for being against the intake of refugees, anyone who is saying that to you obviously doesn't know what they're talking about.
It's your reasons why which may or may not make you racist.
Most people are going for the economic angle [if there is an angle to this.]
I have heard very few people saying they're against it because 'dem forners be diferunt to mah skins colorses!'

What I think we should do is help our homeless veterans before we help refugees. We have our own problems right now. That money for the refugees and the donations could go to our homeless veterans. Not saying that we shouldn't help them. I just think we should try to focus more on our problems, rather than people from other origin.

Why can't we help both? We don't have to pick and choose.

Resistenza wroteThat isn't the point. The point is, why are these funds going towards refugees?
