The GTX 980M is fairly improved over the 780M, but 780M SLI is better than a 980M, so the Alienware has the Asus ROG beat there. The 980M should still perform fairly well however, so it's up to you if you think it's worth spending the extra for an improved display.

Alright thanks a lot Sanct! I am buying it used hence the low price, I will be hopefully picking it up next week. It is in brand new condition ( as far as I'm aware) and it still has 1 year warranty remaining.

I Actually have the Alien ware However I ended up upping the specs up a nice bit. With alien ware you are basically paying for the name.

I know this however for the price I'm paying I think its good. Yes it is a used gaming laptop but its in brill condition and for the specs I would consider it cheap to most others especially with the branding!

Definitely the Asus. Alienware's are overpriced and heavy (and look bad in my opinion).

I have actually been thinking about getting an Asus ROG myself!

So yeah, get that Asus and give it use it deserves, because it will exceed your expectations.

P.S: You can always build a PC too! I built a desktop, and it was one of the best decisions of my life!
