Bounties, the storyline (really helpful but boring if done tons of times :p), quests, crucible (like you mentioned). There are more but those are the most famous and fastest imo.

What I usually do is on the alt character stack up on bounties for like 4 days on the most xp ones then do them all but it takes time. Anyway good luck!
