Never heard you say that before, i know you guys get mad when your guns are in the conversation and downvotes will happen but i know i'm right.

Our gun laws in the UK were strict from Dunblane and since that we've never had a school shooting. Now you guys have had 74! in the past 3 years! does that not tell you something? if you agree with the current gun laws, you're simply an imbecile.

England is a small country with easy to control borders.
North America has two large borders, one of which leads to a country currently embroiled in gang warfare.

If America banned guns the black market would thrive and it would be only criminals getting their hands on guns.
Most mass shootings in America take place inside areas where guns are banned, I can get statistics and a source if you want but I can't be bothered Googling for them unless it's necessary.

If the US wants to lower crime rates involving guns then it needs to end the war on drugs and legalize many substances which are now contributing to the income and wealth of gangs in the country. If gangs have no way to make money they have no money to buy guns.

Once again I can get statistics, but the vast majority of gun related deaths in the US are committed by gang members on other gang members.
Mass shootings are going to happen whether or not guns are legal or illegal. If someone wants to go into a school and shoot the place up they will find a way, North America is a big place and there will always be ways to get guns there.

What needs to be encouraged in America, in my opinion, are mental health checks for people looking to buy guns and increased gun safety and storage training for those who do buy guns.

America needs advertisements showing parents having a chat in the kitchen while their 4 year old toddler walks over to the open gun case and shoots itself in the face, like the car crash ones which try to encourage people to stop speeding. But you don't see those, the only time you do see those types of things is on the news after it has actually happened.

So while I agree that North America does need stricter gun laws, an outright ban would cause more problems than it would solve, in my opinion.

I can sure as **** assure you that if this had happened in say Atlanta, that soldier may still very well be alive. But no instead people were only armed with cameras and **** rocks. The people who shoot up places such as schools and malls are crazy criminals and because of that they will always find a way to kill a large amount of people if they want. They are always gonna be able to find some dirty .38 on the black market. Taking away and banning weapons does nothing but hurt the law abiding citizens who only want to have fun on the weekends and protect their home. The shooting that took place in France could've very well been ended shortly if it took place in the US because a large majority of American families are armed. It is a right just like free speech, the right to a speedy and impartial trial and many other rights that are cemented in the constitution. No one government has the right to strip these away because it is what the country was built upon. If someone can't get a gun, they'll get a bomb, if someone can't get a bomb they'll get a knife, if they can't get a knife they'll get a **** rock. You can't stop criminals from committing crimes.

1911 Turkey disarmed its citizens, and between 1915 1917 they murdered 1.5 million Armenians.
1929 Russia disarmed its citizens, and between 1929 1953 they murdered 20 million Russians.
1935 China disarmed its citizens, and between 1948 1952 they murdered 20 million Chinese.
1938 Germany disarmed its citizens, and between 1939 1945 they murdered 16 million Jews.
1956 Cambodia disarmed its citizens, and between 1975 1977 they murdered 1 million Educated people.
1964 Guatamala disarmed its citizens, and between 1964 1981 they murdered 100,000 Mayan Indians.
1970 Uganda disarmed its citizens, and between 1971 1979 they murdered 300,000 Christians.

I don't know what your point is.

Giving away guns in banks doesn't seem too problematic to me.
I assume there would be an armed guard stood nearby at all times. Assuming they do the correct background checks and are thorough about it.
They could [and probably do] give away the gun without the ammunition, and the guns are kept in a secured vault, so I'm not seeing what Michael Moore's big problem is here.

The point is they're too easy to access, these youths will not be going on the black market. That was also completely different, was it a school shooting? no.

Why wouldn't these youths who want to shoot up schools go on the black market? The only reason they don't at the moment is because they can take them off their parents who are too stupid to lock them away properly, or get them from places where background and mental health checks are minimal at best.
The solution to those issues isn't banning guns, it's increasing restrictions on who can buy them and educating people on gun safety.

His point with the Lee Rigby picture was to show that maybe one of those bystanders could have stopped this before it went too far if they had a gun.
You moved off the topic of school shootings to guns in general when you posted the Michael Moore video, so don't blame him for replying with something which was also not about school shootings.

If they want to commit a crime they will.

It doesn't matter if it was a school or not. It goes to show crazy people are gonna continue to be crazy. It also shows how helpless the public is when events like that take place.

As far as Bowling For Columbine goes...
In one infamous scene, a bank offers a free rifle to anyone who opens an account with them. Moore is shown walking into the bank, opening an account, and walking out with a rifle in his hands. In actual fact, banks are just a wee bit skittish when it comes to customers bearing firearms on their property. The event was staged; the bank in question actually only offered a gift certificate for a free rifle from the gun store down the street from it, which required all the standard background checks to obtain.
