Why do people fanboy over SKT T1 so much? Like, I honestly don't think they are that God like :/ They are good, but there are far too many teams in this that can win it.


SKT are a tournament favourite team and one of the best teams in the world. Don't get me wrong, But I honestly think there's a lot more potential for western teams this year... they're looking so strong.
What do you mean? The only team I could see even near the finals or winning is Fnatic

Wow what a day of great games! What an upset by OG and FW. OG just looked really good against LGD, holding their own, but it's really hard to take a lot from just a very small sample size of one game.

On the other hand FW beating KOO was definitely not expected either. For FW we actually have a bigger sample size as they played against CLG yesterday. As we saw yesterday, it was a really close game, much closer than anyone had really anticipated and CLG better watch out for FW. I think FW are a real contender for that 2nd spot to get out of groups. I think it will be CLG and FW to get out of group A. FW revealed some weaknesses that KOO has.

I think what he meant is that western teams will have a better showing this worlds than they have at any other worlds. I know it's only day 2, but western teams have been stepping up, no one really expected them to show up except Fnatic.

Im not fanboying i have been watching since they built the team around Faker and have been watching eversince... Yes even when they didnt make it threw the LCK in 2014 which i have my opinions about. As for the other teams i have no doubt SKT will be contested this year for the finals but its going to be either Fnatic/EDG other than those i highly doubt any of the western teams will beat them. CLG and C9 are not consistent enough plus i was really surprised with that 23 min c9 game though.

Basically what I was trying to say. So many teams have stepped up, and it's so exciting. China not having a great start was a surprise, C9 beating AHQ and IG... wow.

    Group A CLG and KOO tied at 2-1
    Group B C9 at 3-0
    Group C SKT at 3-0 (Expected, more at least than C9)
    Group D OG 3-0


This has been a super hyped, competitive worlds and I'm loving it.
