Lol thanks but my keyboard does not need a cleansing or and exorcism or anything. The problem happens without the keyboard plugged in.

Any further ideas on what it is? I'd really like to get rid of whatever this annoying thing is, because when I was playing League yesterday it started happening and it activated all my summoner spells which was very annoying.

It also prevented me from logging in to my computer, because of course it is nearly impossible to type in my password when my computer is spamming wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddffffsdAWSssAWAawdasaffffffffff

all damn day haha.

If this is a rat, how do I get rid of this crippling defect?

Clean install of your OS, or upgrade to Windows 10 if you are on 7/8

Do I really need to clean install? Or can I do a windows refresh (preserves my data and settings but re-installs Windows underneath). I am already on windows 10 by the way.

Yes a clean install is key if it is a RAT who knows where it might be buried in your system.

Damn! Seriously? Is there any way I can save certain things?

A thing I think I should mention is that this problem started after I played Call of Duty Black Ops 2 multiplayer on PC, and the phantom typing is exactly what I pressed while in the game. (W, A, S, D, F, Esc, SHIFT, TAB, 1, 2, 3, 4, C, V, ENTER) but no other keys than the ones you use in game.

Should I try uninstalling Black Ops 2 entirely and see if that solves it before I clean install my OS?

It is not a RAT where someone is messing with you due to the fact that OP said:
I also tried unplugging the ethernet cable from my computer, but even offline it still is doing this.

A RAT would not work without an Internet connection.

Nonetheless, it could be a form of malware that at random intervals, it generates a random keystroke.
For a quick fix though (as I've never had this problem nor heard of it), I would just reinstall the operating system as it would give you a fresh install.

But before you reinstall the OS, you said something about it potentially being Black Ops 2, have you tried uninstalling the game and then restarting your computer?
