Anything is a possibility for the future, I don't see why Apple wouldn't have the technological knowledge to create thier own games console.

It wouldn't be new. The Wii is the 'newest' thing out in a sense of console gaming, mainly because it's the console for kids. In a sense that it's not mainstreamed with CoD. Halo. BattleField. Etc. An apple console would be 1) Over Priced. 2) Very Basic. 3) NO different in the marketing campaign than the Xbox or Playstation.

Apple has never been big on gaming anyways. Their style is 'Simplicity.' That's what they started out with and what they still do.

I could see Apple making a game console. Not sure how successful it would be though. It would probably have the same platform style as iOS. Dont see what games would be on it or exclusives, at least.

I think I saw something that Apple was thinking about a console, but not sure if they followed through.

Currently, the market is already dominated by Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo and PC's. Entering it now would be dangerous for the profits of Apple, considering you would need to take development costs into account. As one user said: Apple should just stick to tablets and phones.

I think they know that they couldn't compete with the other consoles. they should really just stick to phones, tablets etc. Even this car that they're making is a crazy idea.
