You should be able to run most games on high to maximum settings. I think it's a pretty good build. Although I feel like you're shorting yourself a bit because you're not complementing your high end graphics card and CPU with a good ram and motherboard manufacturer.

No SSD?

Cooler is for budget builds, wont keep overclocked i7 cool. Get a better cooler.

980 is a waste of money. Would rather get a 390.

PSU is meh, could get better.

16gb is not needed unless doing heavy editing, streaming, etc.

You can get your OS the "free" way.

I could build you a much better one.

Full budget?
