I have someone wanting a laptop for games. He can only spend £400 at most, and wants one that can play a few games. I don't know the best he can get for that price, so is anyone able to give any suggestions?

Maybe get him to look at Alienware, second hand are around £320 to £400, just a suggestion.

What games are we talking about ? That's the real question here as games can be very demanding on hardware. For example my dad plays Total War games and old RTS type games. I managed to get him a cheap lenovo for about £250 on sale and he loves it. however if you're dad plays games like Arma or Battlefield then you'll not get far with a £400 pc
