What would you guys say would be the appropriate waiting time before seeing someone else after breaking up with my girlfriend.

I mean just in-case we get back together i don't want to be messing around with someone else and kissing someone else then regret it ect.

How many weeks/days is acceptable?

It's called the 3-month rule. You have to wait for 3 months for everything (meaning, feelings and whatnot) to be somewhat over.

There is no real perfect time to be seeing someone else after just breaking up with your partner, it all depends if you want to kiss someone else etc after a day, then a day, could be weeks/months maybe even a year+ just depends on how you felt about them and if you're able to move on as quick

I'm actually pretty sure it's the law to wait atleast 8 months.

It all depends on how serious your relationship was, and how long you was together. Also it's how you feel about meeting someone new, and if the person that you meet is perfect for you/ better than your ex girlfriend.

I think in reality you should at least wait a couple months and see where your feelings are at. Maybe you will get back together or maybe you won't. But you've always got that slight possibility.

There is no actually a time limit or period on when you should really wait
it all depends on you
if you still think your not ready for another relation ship then, focus on yourself hang out with friends etc..
it will come naturally when you think its time to have another relationship
it could be days, weeks, months, even years if your not ready your not ready simple dude its all up to you

Think about it like this.

Do you think you two are going to get back together?

If the answer is yes, then either wait, or get back together with her.

If she is mad at you for some reason, just apologize to make her feel better (or make her feel that she is right)

If the answer is no, you do not want to get back with her, then you dont need to wait.

That is my answer.
