Window's 10 is not long out so it wont say you'll just have to buy it. It should work tho.

The minimum is the what you can run but nothing below. Anything above windows 7 you should be able to run. Make sure all your equipment is up to date. If you run a game and it does not meet the requirements, there should be a button on that error message you can click and it will tell you what you need.

It's going to be a while before game developers fully utilize Windows 10's DX12, so it's naturally going to be a while, if not ever, for the minimum requirements to say you need Windows 10. You will be able to play almost every game on Steam with Windows 10 no problem occurring, however, some games, just like with Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, may run a little weird (mostly older games or games that have bad ports) where you may need to run that game in Windows XP Compatibility mode.

Oh right yh thought it was a bit weird how ever modern game on there none of them say windows 10, so as long as it's says say windows 7/8/8.1 I should be safe

Yes and no. You can have a game from 2012, saying you need Windows 7/8, but if it's a bad game port, it may have issues, even on 7/8/8.1 and 10, where you may need to run that game in compatibility mode for Windows XP.

You can even run some older games just fine on Windows 7/8/10, Counter Strike 1.6 is labeled as Windows XP and Counter Strike Source is listed as Vista, XP and Windows 7, and I can run both games fine on Windows 10. You can play games that are listed are older, some may not work without compatibility mode, and even some games that need 7, 8 or 8.1 may still need compatibility mode because of the game having a bad port. While you won't run into these too often, it's better to just know in case it ever happens. For the most part, you'll run pretty much any game on Steam just fine with your OS (not talking about actually playing without FPS drops or anything like that, because that has to do with your hardware,.) If it appears games are not running well, check the community page for that game and see if others are having problems with it that are similar, if not identical to yours, if no one else is having problems, and you're experiencing problems, chances are it's hardware limitations.

Yh so basically it's a shot in the dark but most games should be fine. Steam should really update the system requirements to tell you if it works well on Windows 10
