Hi! I have a
Intel i7 6700k skylake processor
Hyper X DDr4 RAM 8gb
ASUS Z170-A Motherboard
4 Case fans including CPU fan
GTX 970 MSI
none of these are being overclocked and I even put the Graphics card usage to below the standard and i still powered off.
I have a 600W corsair CX Series Modular CX600M ATX Power Supply 600 Watt 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Modular PSU
power calculators have said 389w and others have said around 700w. What is the problem?

Also, for the first week of using the computer it didn't shut off until recently. The only computer game I'm playing is counterstrike, which is not graphically intense.

Does it bluescreen or give you any errors at all or does it just shutdown.
The CX range from Corsair is supposed to be for "basic" systems and shouldn't be put anywhere near gaming rigs.
That being said, your rig should not be pulling 600w so Id make sure its your PSU before going out and buying a new one.

I can guarantee your rig is pulling no more then 350W when everything is fully stressed!
The CX600 should handle that no problems.

No I got no bluescreen. The power supply is brand new, except that it's been sitting unused for a year, but otherwise not used.

I think i found the problem.. The CPU fan randomly shuts off. It'll work sometimes and then other times it won't. Should I RMA it?

Maybe it is a problem with your motherboard.
Does it happen at a certain point when using your computer?
