Well, I mean I can understand that, people do request simple, common stuff. But you need to make a portfolio on what you can do best. So people can see how well you do!

Very true, most people are specific with what they want when they fill out a form if you have one, but yes most 2d art for avatars, signatures, etc.. on this site is just text on a picture! If thats what people want thats what they want.
