I was looking at getting this imac for my GF for Christmas. She likes to do computer animation and different art stuff and maybe a little gaming not like hardcore but a little.

No way, probably overpriced as most apple products are, you would be MUCH better off building a PC.

900$ for an i3, 4GB of RAM and a very very old GPU where nothing can be upgraded. :suicide:
