So does it open at 12am midnight local time? I know they say world wide launch but each time zone is different.

It opens at midnight your local time. For me thats 10 hours away.

i've realised in the past it usually ends up being around 10 minutes after clock hits 12 due to the large amount of people trying to access it

Local time is your time zone. Us not knowing what that is won't help us answer that for you.

It release at 12 am EST. Find out your time zone and go from there. Google is your best friend.
