Okay so I see this all the time.

Every post in the "Introduce Yourself" section is a sentence of 3 things worded in different ways:

Welcome
Read The Rules
Enjoy Your Stay

Now I know it's friendly and kind, but its all the same. It just seems like spamming to me. Nothing is every a meaningful comment anymore, or anything creative. Instead of actually giving the person a nice welcome, they just see +1 post.

if you see the same user doing it report them for spam

other than that, they are really just introducing them

I personally introduce a user like maybe every 2 months lol, its nice to make people feel welcomed but some users DO take it a bit far

If somebody makes a thread about themselves, you can relate your reply to that. In some cases, they don't really introduce themselves and that is where a generic reply usually comes into place.

There have been times where people have like 1k posts but have been inactive, they post to introduce themselves again and new members are telling them to read the rules.

To be fair, there's a decent amount of members on here that either don't read or skim the rules. That, and depending on how long they've been inactive for, they'd still be under the impression that old rules are in effect from when they used to be active on the site.

Yes, that is the point of the Introduction Section. But could it hurt so much for people to write things other than just copy and pasting what they said last?
