The are two completely different boards, it all depends on the rest of your components to what one will suit you the most.

Asus Z97-A: ATX, supports overclocking, supports SLI & XFire, more expensive

ASRock H97M: mATX, doesn't support overclocking, doesn't support SLI, supports XFire, cheaper

I would not get either, what is your budget and list of other components?

What is your total budget for everything? There's a few things I would change about that build.

Seeing as your build was ~£750 without a motherboard I think £800 with a board and better quality components is feasible. Both include a good 1080p monitor.

Option 1; SLI support, strong GPU, no SSD

Option 2; Crossfire support, weaker GPU, 250GB SSD

I'd definitely go with the first build, an SSD is a luxury, it is very nice to have but trust me you don't want to sacrifice gaming performance for something you can add in a month or so later.
