Im thinking about buying a blue snowball for my hd60 so i can do commentaries but im not sure how the blue snowball is setup with the hd60

The microphone is not connected to the capture device. You plug it into your PC and record the audio from it with a program like Audacity.

Then when you come to edit it, grab the audio file you recorded and line it up with the footage.
