any musician is a "real" musician. I play guitar but I haven't been playing long.

Adding sound affects and loops on a computer is not a real musician, they didnt take the time to actually learn an instrument or theory they just put noises together to mimic a song

it's called producing. "actually learn an instrument or theory" that's just being educated in music.
"mimic" is replicating something that already exists. All chords on a guitar have basically already been used in everyway (almost) you can be much more creative sonically producing than anything else.
So yeah any musician is a real musician, there's just a difference between being a producer and being a guitar player
