'First boot' means that a specific drive is set to have boot priority, this means that the computer will try and boot off of that drive first (if it has a valid OS). If not, it will try the next drive in the boot priority etc. You can change the boot priority if you can boot into the BIOS.

Tried to boot the bios and it didn't work goes pretty much straight to
'No boot disk detected'

SO you cant access the BIOS?

When you turn your PC on, can you hear your HDD spin?

Mash all the F1-F12 keys when you first start up the machine, and it should go to bios or at least into a boot menu.

Right mashed the buttons and got it up no idea what to do next though, press esc to load default?
