one day it could happen but it would be a very low chance.
Why would they go to the effort of getting a bomb across the border when they could make one in America.

Faun wrote I think your teacher should not be teaching.

Possibility, yes. Probability, no.

I agree lol, the teacher needs to stick to teaching math or whatever he/she does.
Instead of making the students worry about a nuke killing them all.

Yes, they could kill millions in a densely populated area, but it's impossible to kill us all at once with 1 nuke.

In all honesty I think you would be surprised about the area some Nukes could be able to cover. (Not hating on you or anything but it's possible.)

Well Russia declared war with Isis, Paris has basically joined and the us has been bombing since the bi***es starting taking hostages, so It's more possible they will get nuked than anyone else.

His point still stands a single nuke couldn't wipe out the entire population and they don't have nuclear weapons as of yet.

I think you're underestimating just how large the US is.

This would be the effected area if the largest nuke ever made was detonated in the middle of the US. Obviously it would do a lot of damage in a highly populated area like NY, but it's nowhere near large enough to "kill us all at once with 1 nuke".

But realistically, even if they could build a nuke on US soil, it would have a significantly lower payload. So small in fact, that you wouldn't even be able to see the radius on the image above. Here's what it would look like if a small nuke (think briefcase nuke) detonated in NYC.

Obviously it would be tragic, but nowhere near enough to kill us all.

If Isis managed to extend from copper wires to splitting atoms, then you's (America) would have a problem.

But even if the largest nuke made was to detonate here in Australia, I don't think it would even cover Tasmania? (Search Tasmania Australia, you'll understand (it's the little island below Australia)).

Your teacher needs to redo her degree I think, she'd be fired on the spot here in Australia.

No, they won`t.

Sorry, but it just won`t happen.

They don`t have nuclear weapons, but they could get them.
