Ciao, everyone so my tutor teacher told me and my class today that as long as you have passed English literature for your GCSE's (which I have) then you do not have to retake English Language GCSE.
I have been left with a choice at this stage and I'm not sure if I should retake both English exams again or just focus on passing Maths instead.
What do you guys honestly think I should do I just need honest opinions as I need to make a decision that will affect me in the long run.

In the long run.. taking advice from me I don't know if it sounds right, but here it goes.. I never really needed my GCSE's, but if you are looking for a very specific job then I'd suggest trying your best to achieve the best which might mean you may want to conisder retaking English, but if you focus on one subject, the likelihood is you'll achieve much better..
I wish you all the best man, hopefully you get what you wanted!

Applying for University and even some jobs you will need a decent grade in English Language, mainly C for a decent Uni, or for higher universities you will need B+.
They care about Language not Literature as much.

As Exi said, i've never really needed GCSE's for my job, but if you plan on going to Uni then the more GCSE's you have the better chance you have of getting in.
Best of luck man

If you didn't get a C then retake and try and get C minimum.
I believe all you need is a C (or above) in Maths & English for employers etc.

Might as well do it, another chance to gain an extra qualification. As for Uni, they aren't as bothered about GSCE's as everyone is making out, they will reqquire you to have English and Maths minimum though. I got 4 GSCE's, 1 Maths, 2 English and an ICT one, only got a PPM grade in College and got accepted to my first choice Uni where i'm currently studying at now.
If you aim to go to Uni or into work, do it. It'll be worth it in the long run. Most work places require a C or above in both English's as a minimum.
