I tend to use 4321 alot more. I like having pacey wingers with good attack workrates. Besides, the wingers are used more for attacking than the LM and RM on 41212.

i think you messed up the formations lol but I used 4321 last year and liked it until I got to higher divisions then it started getting pretty

I believe the CM's in a 4-1-2-1-2 are slightly wider.

Also the 4-3-1-2 has 3 CM's, where as 4-1-2-1-2 has 2 CM's and a CDM - So could be seen as slightly more defensive.

I found having a defensive cm is pointless, just have an attacking one and keep him on get back, i dont find the defending stats that important, alslong as your ok at intercepting, id rather have attacking player

Lol sorry. Besides using 4321, i also like using 4312. I like having high defensive CM's that way i can defend better. For me, 41212 , the LCM and RCM are too wide, its easy to get countered, thats just me though. Compared to 4312, the CM's are at the middle.
