Hi, I'm having a problem with my C drive, it keeps getting full and I have no idea why...

I have 75GBs on my C drive for the OS, and around 450GB on another drive where I store everything else like applications, media etc...

I've done a cleanup, which didn't do much.

I compressed it like a week ago which gave me 10GB, but it's full again.

I've ran a full scan for viruses, got nothing.

I've wiped the restore points and brought the capacity for backups down.

I've deleted temporary files etc... with CCleaner.

I really want to fix this as it restricts my computer, If I had a windows disc/key then I would 100% restore my computer, but I can't.

Please help.

Download a program called WinDirStat [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Run it and select C: drive and see what is taking up that large amount of space you are talking about.

Post some images of the color boxes and, on the right, the file extension sizes.

Chances are it's just useless Hibernation files. Use the tool FWMK linked to clarify it though.

You can post the results here if you want further help.
