Title says it all...every time I go to my pip boy it tells me that fast travel is unavailable from this location and no matter what part of the map I'm at it says the same thing

Are you inside of a building? because that only happens when you are inside.

Things that prevent fast traveling:
  • Being over-cumbered
  • Inside a building, cave, etc.
  • Survival difficulty
  • SOME quests prevent you from fast traveling if you have unfinished dialogue that makes a game changing consequence (trying to avoid spoilers)
  • Enemies nearby


There have been people saying that the game glitches after finishing the Kellogg quests as well.
