Here is the build: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I only need 500gb of storage.
I prefer the 390X over a 970 because I'm not a fanboy, and I look at performance objectively
I will probably not be overclocking because I do not know how and don't want to damage my parts.
Disregard the stuff I already purchased, duh!

Any suggestions on what I should add or change?

It seems daft to be getting an unlocked CPU on a Z97 board, with an aftermarket cooler, if you aren't going to be overclocking...

You would be better off buying different components and putting the extra money elsewhere.

First of all, the rig you're looking at is already over your $1200 budget. The price for the cooler isn't included, don't know if you already have that or not, but if not, don't get it. There are newer, better, nicer coolers.

If you're can spend closer to like $1250/$1300;

Fury with XFire support. Get an EVGA 550/650W GS or G2 unit if you want to save some money and don't need XFire support.

Otherwise, just swap the Fury for a 390. 390x is not worth the premium over a 390. If you go with the 390 instead, you can get 16GB RAM with it, and have a good bit more money left over. If you go with a 390, get the Strix 390, G1 Gaming 390, or MSI Gaming 390.

Tiny bit over without rebates;

Fury might be better than a 970, but Crossfire on 850 watts assuming you are overclocking the card is going to be cutting it very close.

This is what i'd get for a gaming build, You don't need an i7.
