Biebs wrote Also, an aftermarket cooler would solve your temperature issue.

As you're wanting a CPU upgrade, a Skylake upgrade would make sense. Will you overclock? What do you use your system for(will you make use of hyperthreading(i5 vs i7))?
i will mostly use it for gaming (Star wars) and I'm also sad to say budget is down to £400. Also what would you recommend for the after market CPU cooler?
I was thinking the h100? As for over clocking, I won't be doing that.

What would you recommend for a new case? Also budget been put too £400. Maybe a cheap case as I need a CPU + Cooler.

Nice new case, with a nice cooler, plus Skylake i5 upgrade. SLI support so you can add a 2nd GTX 770 for improved gaming performance.

I already have 8gb ram. Is there a reason you added ram?
Sorry I didn't read your last message properly, would DDR3 ram still be OK with what you have linked?

Skylake (LGA1151) primarily takes DDR4 memory not DDR3 which you have.

You have DDR3, not DDR4. Upgrading to Skylake means you should be upgrading to DDR4 as well. You can get DDR3 compatible Skylake mobo's, but it can be a pain in the ass and there's no reason not to upgrade to DDR4 since you can afford it anyway IMO.

As for the case, I'd definitely be upgrading case but if your current case is fine for you, you could get a nice SSD instead of a new case.

Unless you'll be overclocking, the h100 will literally just be in your build for aesthetic purposes to look good. Don't get me wrong, it keeps my PC cooler than before but you could get a CoolerMaster cooler for a hell of a lot less and maybe some cheeky case fans if you have more room.

Thanks guys for the reply's and the helpful suggestions but I'm going to try get some more money together for the build, I'll let you know if I get more or not and will update you in a hour or two so please stay tunes and once again thanks for the help.
Also would these upgrades make a significant difference or is it worth me waiting for more money?
