ItsChance wrote i feel the same way man, I use to come on this site to find mw2 challenge lobbies and try to look up and down to find a lobby with my friends. I use to get so happy finding one and joining the lobby and having such a fun time. But since then things have changed, drastically. Many forums other then cod and off topic forums are dead. People who hosted lobbies never post, there is people who come on here to just fool around and advertise, and also i remember seeing forums being posted every second to where you could not even read a forum without a new one popping up. TTG is still a decent website but back then is when it was the best. what ever happened?...

I'm sure part of the reason why most of the community moved on is because of college, or work and don't have time for TTG anymore. But, imo the reason why this drought happened is because we all just kinda gave up. We saw our precious modding forum get taken down and nobody really took to the plate and made something of our losses. The overall spirit of the site was diminished and with that people didn't know what else to do. I mean, this all could be for naught but that's what happened to me when I nearly forgot about TTG. Although, I kind of wish I never would have returned to see it in it's current state. Kind of reduces the ecstasy of nostalgia I once had for it.

Daniel wrote awesome topic , this is exactly how ttg is right now .

Thanks for the compliment! I'm glad to see so many people agreeing with me! For a second I almost thought my opinion would be bashed by a lot of people. But, with this many people on board, I almost know there will be a change sometime soon!

I 100% agree with you man. As for the staff, I do think a few of them do not deserve to be in that position, but I don't really want to get into that. I also agree on all the elitist groups and shit. This site went from being an amazing tech site, to a social media site basically. Lmao. I remember the modding sections used to be filled with people that knew what they were talking about, now it's all these 12 year old script kiddies. I 100% agree man, I'm happy someone brought this up as I've been feeling this way for some time now and I'm sure you speak for other members

Yeah, I'm surprised this many feel the exact same way. I'm glad you agree and see my point as well. I mean, this post has more views in 20 minutes than a post about the Kardashians had in 20 hours! I feel accomplished haha! Maybe, it's because some people just didn't know how to put it in there own words but, I'm glad for all of the people who agree with this, and I hope for all of you that one day this site will get better for everyone.

You have a very detailed post here bud, and I can see you put a lot of effort into it. It's always unfortunate to see old members leave the site after being on here so long, but I understand that the site has changed a lot since 4 years ago. Like Dean said, people grow out of things -- and frequenting a forum site like TTG is one of them. As for staff picking favorites, I personally haven't come across any of this on the site. People with staff members on their friends list definitely aren't exempt from rules, and as far as I've seen nobody is getting preferential treatment. I definitely dont think the site is filled with "scammers and trolls", every site has their fair share. Just because you've had some bad experiences doesn't mean you should see the whole site in a bad light. Hopefully once V5 comes out you'll take another shot with TTG.

Am i the only person who thinks TTG has improved massively over the years, 5 years back you couldnt even find a decent thread because it was just 'JTAG lobby spam' all day and night and i understand thats what the site was popular for back in the day but times move on and lets face it the xbox 360 and ps3 will on last so long before nobody has one and modded lobbies are obsolete. It may sound sad but ive actually learnt so much stuff off this site from people just passing on knowledge whether that be a tutorial or a massive detailed review. Ive also met alot of great people on this site which no one ever seems to mention.

Edit: btw i do agree with your some of your points but why do people always focus on the negatives.

I joined this site back in 2009, under a different alias of course. But, I would agree with you to some degree on improvement. There have been many changes since when I first joined, I remember the clunky look of the forums, and the overall spam that once was ever so evident. However, I'm not sure how it's improved as a whole. I came back to this site after a year long hiatus, and every day that I come back on this site I have to ask myself, "why am I here", "what am I going to post about", or "I bet you anything there's a console fanboy on the pc forums again ranting". Those are my first and only thoughts when I first log in. Back in the day, I used to think "I kinda feel like making some new friends, I'm gonna run a Zombies lobby!", "I can't wait to see what's gonna happen during Shouterday today!!", or "I'm gonna go learn something in the forums today". I mean, the reason why I joined this site, is totally different from the current. There honestly is no reason for me to return to this site everyday like I try to do currently. If you can provide some reason as to why there's still something to look forward to signing in everyday then I can rest easy. But, until then I just can't figure it out.

But this is still possible people in the Black ops 3 section for example are always teaming up. people are just reluctant to speak to people these days if their post count is below 500.

I meant a different kind of zombies lobby lol. I used to run modded lobbies back in the day, and I met a LOT of fantastic people on this through giving out free zombies lobbies, sure most people just leeched and left, but there were still plenty of golden nuggets in the sand pile.
