Saki wrote You have a very detailed post here bud, and I can see you put a lot of effort into it. It's always unfortunate to see old members leave the site after being on here so long, but I understand that the site has changed a lot since 4 years ago. Like Dean said, people grow out of things -- and frequenting a forum site like TTG is one of them. As for staff picking favorites, I personally haven't come across any of this on the site. People with staff members on their friends list definitely aren't exempt from rules, and as far as I've seen nobody is getting preferential treatment. I definitely dont think the site is filled with "scammers and trolls", every site has their fair share. Just because you've had some bad experiences doesn't mean you should see the whole site in a bad light. Hopefully once V5 comes out you'll take another shot with TTG.

Yes, I agree that I was too harsh on the moderator team, I apologized a couple times before to them, but I'll do it again. They didn't deserve me posting that, seeing as how most of them do in fact try very hard to resolve many issues on the site. But, there are a couple raisin cookies that get overlooked by all the chocolate chips out there. And, the forum isn't all scammers and trolls, it's just more frequent than what it used to be, or at least the troll to dedicated user ratio has increased by a lot. But, V5 is the day that the internet will self-destruct, I don't think anyone is ready for such amazingness xD

Suhpose wrote Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I am sorry that you feel this way Geekwad. I will admit that over the 5 years I have been here, it has changed. In terms of modding, it was almost the focus of the site back then. Things do change over years, and I feel that shifting the focus away from modding and moving towards more of the console and pc gaming is for the better.

As for your staff issue, if you have a problem, feel free to raise it to the Administration. We will try our best to look into your issue. This doesn't go for just you, this is for everyone. If you have an issue, then PM one of us and let us know.

Wow, two admins posted here I almost feel privileged xD And, thank you for respecting my opinion. But, maybe the game hacking has gone away, but maybe like I posted above, we could still have an active modding community for lighter mods. I mean, Fallout 4 is showing that in the future console mods could very well be a thing! I think if you guys try and figure out something to take this and run with it, this site could go a long way.

I believe the staff of TTG are very deserving of their positions. Yes, I understand they don't get back fast at times. But its the same with me. I have things to do outside of TTG.
Every staff member I have contacted has given me a positive result. Some of you have a very big misunderstanding of this site.

Rin wrote About the third paragraph, there have been multiple times where I've seen a "well respected" member just bash on users and be praised for it. But if a lower member does the exact same, they would be downvoted to oblivion. Forum is just filled with hypocrites and brown noses.
But who am I to complain? I rarely post anymore and I use this site as a source for news.

Yeah, that's how I kind of feel as well. Thank you for pointing that out, you bring up a pretty good point. I also use this site mainly for news, but with TechCrunch and other sites offering a much more broad news dedication, I find it hard to see any new material. Maybe, if there were some people on the site to actually gather fresh news that isn't posted on other sites, maybe it would bring a little more attention but, that would cost actual money and such.

This is just a general question but if the ratio to moderators and members is so low why not get more moderators, there are heaps of people i see day in day out that would smash a moderating job (obviously i dont know their circumstances) and i understand the whole moderating business is touchy but it just makes sense to keep on top of things as we are growing and growing each day. I already know im about to get a tun of downvotes for asking but ahhwell.

Adolfin wrote I to be honest have thought about this for a while, but I have only been here a year, but it has gotten a lot worse over the span of my year here. I personally some staff that are in their postitions shouldn't be there, as they never actually "moderate". And yet they are defended by other staff that they are busy and don't have time, well, I mean, demote the undeserving individual and promote another actually helpful user. I hate to say this, but Se7enSins is the best forum when it comes to this. Like actually give some hope for members to know they actually have a chance at being a staff member, as that is what the "top of the chain" is in a forum, and with more promotions, it gives members a change, some excitement. When I seen the sectional moderators promoted, the first thing I thought was "Maybe the site will change, and give members like myself a chance". This in my opinion is unfair to members deserving, and I can name a few undeserving AND deserving members.

I'm going to stop before I screw up and say something to bad, but I do 100% agree with you bud, and I may leave, and only check the site until v5 comes out. Anyways, great post bud.

There are 1.8 million members, and ~60 staff members, which is a 0.00333% ratio. Of course not all helpful and active members can hold a staff position. Our staff team does our best to help members, but TTG isn't our top priority in life, especially with some of us (including me) being in College or a variant of school and around this time of year is finals week, etc. A staff member not being able to get back to you with a problem doesn't mean that they are ignoring you, most of the time it is because we have prior commitments that keep us from constantly doing our TTG duties.

There can be a lot going on in people's lives that you are unaware of, so before making assumptions about someones commitment or responsibility, consider that they don't have the same schedule that you may have.

If anyone from this thread needs any help or has questions/concerns/suggestions, please send them to me or another staff member in a PM, as I probably won't be replying on this thread again, *1ninja1*

Thank you for clarifying that Scizor, I wasn't talking about mods dedication to the site, but rather the couple of bad eggs that have the elitist groups back so to speak. It doesn't happen very often but at the time of posting it was fresh in my mind and that is why I had brought it up in such a harsh way. I would like to apologize to mods once more lol. (Seems like I've done this like 5 times already) But, thank you again for your dedication, I know you've always kept true.

I kind of wish I would have never brought up the whole moderator thing. But, you're right, all staff are deserving of their position otherwise why would they have it? But, it's what they do with that power that make some mods questionable. And, I know Admins have done an amazing job at trying to extinguish these types, and I should give them more credit.

speed wrote If you're having issues with a staff member, feel free to send me a PM. I'd like to get it taken care of.

Like SPEED said, if a staff member is doing something wrong or you have an issue PM a senior Admin like SPEED.

You listed a lot you dislike about this site and I do agree with you on some things. Trust me, it does get dealt with. We are not going to "Ban" you for posting your feedback about the site, I will not let the happen, lol. We are working on doing more things with the community. I myself along with other staff members have been gaming a lot with users when it comes to BO3.

We still have shouterday, we just don't make a topic but if that's something you would like to see, I'll start making some themes for shouterday like we were doing

Modding

That's a tough subject and I myself can't really give import on it. From a user point of view I guess I could say, Sean making that call at the time he did, was a nice call. Modding is dead for old gen and will be gone within the next year or two. Unlike most sites, we moved on. While all the cool new Nex-Gen stuff coming out now and in the feature, we will be on top of that while other sites lack that info. Once PS4/XB1 becomes modded and that, I can't say we will go with the flow and bring back the modding forums as it's not my call but Sean will do what he needs to do. Sean doesn't know the future or have any idea on what's to come with the New Gen. So we just gotta wait.

There's grammar nazi's, elitists, console fanboys that rage on all of the pc posts, pc fanboys that rage on all of the console posts, arguments in every topic, filled with scammers, people who post something on every topic just to get their post count higher not even engaging in the topic or producing anything that is about the topic, filthy moderators (some not all, you know who you are if you're reading this, I don't otherwise I'd probably put you on blast because that sh*t isn't cool and you should probably get stripped), new accounts advertising YouTube pages, I mean come on I almost want to believe this is the source where all the negative people are born out of this site has so many now.

You will find that on every site, it's the internet. However we will deal with it if it's an issue. A lot of the members joke with other members aka their friends.

filled with scammers

Not sure what you meant by that as of how it was worded. Scammers do get dealt with and do get IPed banned form the site. Lot of the time users break the rules and get scammed or even reach them offsite which is not our fault. I myself cover the COD section and I will tell you I can easy find a scammer and they get banned right away. If you see a user scamming or or even think one is please PM me and I will look into it and deal with it. You can also PM any other staff member also.

filthy moderators (some not all, you know who you are if you're reading this, I don't otherwise I'd probably put you on blast because that sh*t isn't cool and you should probably get stripped),

This goes back to what I quote SPEED on. You need to PM an admin so it can be dealt with. If it's an issue with an admin, it's best to PM Snowwhiter,Hippie or Sean.

new accounts advertising YouTube pages

I see where you are coming from but that is a user like you who whats to use this site and enjoy his time and get feedback on his videos. I see if they are spamming their videos then yes we will take care of them.

There are countless of people spamming just to get their post count up or a MVC badge, and they don't even talk about the topic! It's annoying as it is frustrating, to see how you write a two paragraph response on the topic, just to see 10 people post "this looks cool" right above it, knocking your post to the second page

You probably heard us say this a lot but you guys have to report threads or comments. We have work and other things to do outside of the site and can't always lurk the site.

One of the last things that would help improve this site is, interacting with the community more.

We are working on that and have been. We will be having a zombie tournament here soon for BO3. I have no ETA on that but it should be soon. We also have others talking about some other ideas.

We do have the modded lobby section and other forums : but most of the other forums are gone as we moved on.

There's case mods, controller mods, all of that. Not to mention the HUGE array of PC mods out there

User can still post about this stuff but we have remove those section where they use to be as they were dead. Feel free to us the Xbox 360 section. Now for PC modding, I'm not the best person to talk to about it as I have no idea about it. I'm sure you can post about it but before you do so feel free to PM r00t as he is top dawg when it comes to the PC section.

Now my grammar might be bad or I miss spelled some words as I'm not the best with typing

I hate to see you go and I hope you do come back. You are a veteran user and I would hate to see you go. If you have any question or anything, just PM me.

There's actually a valid reason for this. A staff member isn't as easy as finding a good banana. If you hire too many staff then more and more people can abuse that power. So, in order to keep that to a minimum there isn't many mods. And, with the amount of active mods on this site, there should be at least 5 active on duty at a certain time. Which is well enough to hold down this rowdy bunch of users lol. (not sure if I explained this very thoroughly but I tried my best lol!)

Modding being dropped happened because of three reasons
1. It would cut out toxic users,
2. It was time to move on since it was a dying niche that the site depended on.
3. Looking at things long term.

I've had nothing but legal issues over it for years I was never forced to do anything it was totally free will and was based on the view of many to support the site for the long term because lets be honest 5 years from now no one is going to care for JTAG's

The end of a console generation for a website mainly founded on console gaming is like starting over again. TTG is about to have a total reboot and you will see another shift in focus.

On the subject of mods just an FYI we've not added any new staff for over a year we've only lost them the reasoning for not adding more is because we're working on many things and adding someone new into the mix would not be the best as it stands.

I think the team we have today although not perfect is by far the best we've had.

If you're having problems with a mod or a member you can contact any of us we will deal with it trust me we're all nice guys.
