A recent topic in this forum about modding and TTG and how the community is dying and people active or we need more staff just bugged me.

Sean made a really good point that I myself have understood since day one of dropping the Jtag section.
Next gen is out. It has been out and jtags aren't what people are going to focus on. This website wasnt meant for just that sole purpose and if jtags weren't removed as the focal point TTG as a whole would just die out.
It was very smart for them to remove the forum early so they could build up the site to prepare for that.

Another point to rant about was about staff not being able to be everywhere at once.
"There is to much spam"
Well guess what there are thousands of active users and what 50-60 staff?
Shit happens get over it, they do there best.

But to get to the point TTG isn't dying, it is sorting through its roots to help develop something to stick around.

I don't want to come off as an ass but TTG has been just a awesome website for me and sometimes things change but change is essential.

People need to understand that when TTG started it was for modded lobbies on Mw2 and WaW. But things move on and people grow up.

I can't wait for TTG to move into a new direction other than modding, as like Sean said in that post, it cuts out the toxic users. But people tend not to move with the times and as soon as 1 thing dies, they give up.

As for the staff comments made on that thread, i think it's stupid. If there was a need for more staff Sean/whoever would be the first to know about that. Just because stuff doesn't get deleted/moved as soon as you click it, doesn't mean you need more.

Like i said, I cannot wait for TTG to find it's new direction and pursue that one for how ever long it can.

Yeah i know what you mean, Whilst this was at one time primarily a Modding site, It isnt the only reason people came here.

That being said, i personally have noticed a decline in community, and by this i dont mean less members i mean in the sense of the word.

Ive noticed increasingly, Topics posted and havinf 30 + views and not 1 reply. I understand that if its a question being asked, there might not be an answer to it, but some of the posts are videos containing a new Glitch / exploit or something somone has taken the time to recored and share with people in order to help.

This was something i used to love about the TTG community and its something i hope we get back.

Modding isn't dead. Cheating on older platforms is dead. Every few days I see users making topics about buying a modified console to cheat in games. I always recommend PC if they are going to modify and alter their games.

The site isn't dead or dying. The modded console scene is dying and will most likely be extinct in less than two years. Users just need to get over the modded console scene and move to a better platform. Which Sean and other administration have been slowly pushing out, with the ban of modded console sales, shrinkage of modding forums, and general increase in the PC forum.
