I know there has been a lot going on and opinions about this topic but I LOVE playing games from CoD on xbox 360 to Runescape on computer, games I used to love playing, but over the years these sort of games have become somewhat boring and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way whether it's for the same games or others. I've been in the situation were I would go college and look forward to the 4-5 hours free time I had playing online with friends, but like the saying goes "All good things must come to an end" and that's how it's gone for me. During those 4 hours I would complain about how I wished I had more time to play, and now, that wish has been granted and I'm regretting it BADLY.

IMO games aren't based on the communities they used to revolve around, to me, they revolve more around the famous players of those games i.e Ali A, TMartn etc and it makes me curious how I see complaints from over half the communities from each game console complaining at how bad the games are at first BUT a month down the line, people in the community are still complaining yet we see these famous players constantly showing their progress in these games as though they don't suffer from the same bad experience.

Furthermore, I look at how different games that USED to be popular have slowly declined over the years and I noticed a lot of them have become somewhat "Pay to Win" i.e CoD, not exactly a pay to win game but to get the most out of the game they offer season passes and camo's to purchase. FIFA, players spending hundreds of pounds or dollars (depending on your currency) to buy gold packs for the rarest players. A lot of the most famous games have become money-soaked and only those who spend hundreds on the game enjoy them.

So the question I want everyone's opinion on is, Do you think the games will die sometime in the future?

No hate for this post just an average gamer being curious.

From what I've read, FIFA 16 isn't looking too good online and personally I would love to see CoD die, just to give Treyarc and Infinity Ward a jump scare to actually look at their games in depth to see the problems the games have first hand.

They are simply to big to die, why would they die? If they are selling millions of copies, it will not die, simple as.

COD is for sure dying, the more CODs they make the worse they are. Black ops 3 is better then AW and Ghost but it is not how it used to be on older CODS.

Considering CoD3 or AW was the worst, BO3 is doing pretty good, not to mention how we don't have the DLC to fully judge the game.

Call of Duty will be around for a few more years, as people buy it because their friends do and "trickshotters" buy it so they can trickshot, same goes for competitive players, they get it to sweat in a bucket. I only buy it to play zombies/whatever alternative game mode is offered, as I have enjoyed each since waw.

Sports games will be around for awhile as well, considering they update it each year with the rookies and people enjoy that.

The only major series I see going obsolete in the next couple of years is Halo, considering Halo 5 was kinda bad and MCC has had its issues with servers and still does, no one will be interested in another sequel.

We'll just have to see.
