Rep and thanks are a piece of code on a website that has caused more issues in people's lives then it should have. Why does it matter what another user on site is doing? It's not like anyone can force you to give rep or thanks.
The implementation of the new rule where users can ask for it brought it back into the mainstream and started to make users use it more which is what it was put on the site for in the first place. The implementation is a good thing and I don't see why so many users on here get butt hurt about it.

I mean if it's for a good reason or such then there shouldn't be a problem but if it's a tutorial video on some nonsense and they said to rep and thanks then that's a hell no
