I don't know if it's just me, but it grinds my gears when people are posting photos on a forum and don't embed them. I can understand, some people are new to this and I accept that, but whenever I click on a thread and it contains image links, more so when they aren't direct image links and it just takes so long to view them in comparison to just embedding the image into the thread.. it gets a tad frustrating.
The only time I don't mind is when its like an imgur gallery of photos.

Agreed, I just don't bother clicking links.
So if they say look at this 'image' and nothings embedded, I just go onto the next topic.
It's annoying, but i'm lazy, so..

Some people just don't realize that you need the direct link, not the web page link.

Or youtube videos. You forgot about that.
If someone links something that could easily be embedded, I just don't even bother.

Yeah! Another one is people not including the file format in their link and questioning why it doesn't work.

I semi agree, I rarely click on the links if that's the case. I hate it even more when you take your time to copy and paste the link only to find that the picture doesn't actually show up or is just shit in general..

Green = HTML image tags, to embed your image you must use these opening and closing tags.
Red = Direct image link (will look similar to that one)
Blue = File format, an image won't display on a board without this. .jpg/.png and .gif Sometimes, a link may not have a file format in, and that is why sometimes you will need to add one.
