I just saw a post about someone getting scammed and staff said they couldn't do anything about it. In my opinion, there should be somewhere in the rules of this site that if someone gets scammed and they can show staff enough proof of whoever scammed them, the scammer should get IP banned from the site. We don't need kids on here scamming.
Even though the guy who got scammed "didn't follow the rules", the kid got scammed and now the scammer walks away like nothing happened.
As always, my opinion!

My opinion as well. If you get scammed you should be allowed to show proof, if you have it, of you being scammed, and the scammed should be banned. I'm surprised something like this isn't implemented yet anyways.

Well the rules clearly state, that if contact between the two people is made off-site then staff won't care. Which in my opinion is fair enough, yeah the scammer walks free.. But you should have followed the rules and kept conversations in house.
Unfortunate to the guy who got scammed, but there are rules for a reason.

It is not our fault the user was scammed, we aren't responsible for your money and if you decide to either, 1. Not read the rules, or 2. Decide to ignore then we are hardly responsible for what happens.
If users will read the rules, follow them, and be smarter with their money, then there shouldn't ever be a problem. Of course not everyone will read the rules, hence why we have Moderators, so where the rules apply, we will enforce them. We aren't condoning spamming, but it's out of our hands if you decide to ignore the rules.
Lots of people will have to learn the hard way on the internet that not everyone is trustworthy, this goes double for if you ignore our marketplace and section guidelines.

He replied with everything I was going to post. It's not our fault and we will not take action offsite as anyone can show fake proof.
