Mullan wrote I get your point but why are you mad lol mistletoe for sure doesn't promote "rape" but imagine all the women who had to deal with a man standing in front of them holding it trying to kiss them, that would be weird.

The video actually made some really good points, yeah the used stronger language than they should have for ONE point, that's it, I respect all the women in the video and none of them done wrong.

Can you imagine the amount of good the feminist movement would do if they all turned their attention to actual issues facing women?
Like genital mutilation? Being able to drive? Not being sold as sex slaves?

Instead, these feminists would rather moan about a scientist's shirt, or the mistletoe, or men sitting with their legs open?
Sure, their hearts might be in the right place, but their heads have gone on holiday.

yo I agree with everything you said but why did you quote me like you were targeting me. I know there's bigger issues but the guy was discussing smaller issues to I talked about them

He wasn't just talking about the mistletoe though. He was talking about modern feminism, his example was the mistletoe.
His first line:
I **** hate the way feminists were once campaigning for the vote and the right to work and now they are campaigning to end mistletoe because it promotes 'Rape Culture'

Your first line:
I get your point but why are you mad lol

I was just explaining why he's mad.

It's hard to tell whether these feminist movements were started by trolls, even so there are some crazy individuals online who fall for this. Just like the absolutely disgusting "Free Bleeding" movement.

But yea, let's fight against "rape culture". Let's not touch on the more important issues such as human trafficking.
What a time to be alive.

The Mistletoe was satire; used by 4chan users in an attempt to annoy feminists. Funnily enough some of the dumber women took it on board and thought it was a fair point.

In any case, unless these women are actively fighting for the global equality of women, I ignore em. "Wage gap" etc, load of tosh. Statistics can be manipulated any way we want them to be.

It is worth bearing in mind that more extreme members of certain groups don't represent the majority, for example Westboro don't make all Christians bad do they?

To the poster above me, the wage gap does exist and just because you don't personally see it, doesn't mean its not there.

I have a dragon in my garage which is immaterial.
Just because you don't personally see it doesn't mean it's not there.

You need to give evidence for why the wage gap exists.
You can't just say, 'You're wrong!' and think it's going to be enough to change people's minds.
