I'm not saying that the people who make threads like this, are wrong but in my opinion I find it a rather silly comparison.
Consoles are purpose built for recreational gaming, sitting on a couch, or lying in bed. Yes they have a couple of competitive leagues but consoles are built for convenience.
PC's on the other hand, they are a universal tool which can pretty much do anything with barely any if not no limitations. They require maintenance and possibly to be upgraded every so often. In the long run, Consoles are also most likely cheaper than a PC unless you are an idiot and 'Diminishing Returns' kicks in and you are spending money on parts that are too powerful for the purpose.
Not trying to be a douche, but comparing a PC to a console, probably isn't ideal since their purposes are very different.

if you wanna snap dora the explorer in the corner while you play evolve, buy an xbox.
If you wanna play games, do homework, research the history on the invention of the wheel, download a full length LP, watch spiderman 2, download sakura spirit AND play barbies dreamhouse mansion all at the same time!! Buy a PC
All jokes aside, no I do not think its fair to compare a PC to any console. Just because they both play video games, does not mean they are similar just like you cant compare skyrim to gta just because they are open world games. They are two totally different things.

It's not fair to compare the both of them,
On a Xbox you are limited to what you can do, granted now you are able to surf the internet, an Xbox is more for people who want a casual gaming experience in my opinion.
A PC allows you to do so much more, you can do things such as school and work projects on them, you can learn new things such as coding and much more.

Seriously though, I don't think you should compare a console to a PC. They're both catered toward different things, both excelling in areas where the other falls short. If you want to power up your system real quick and throw your mic on and play some CoD or GTA with friends, a console would be best suited for you. If you care more about mod support and graphical fidelity, PC would be the better choice.

You can't compare a console to a PC, ps is the master race, without PC's consoles wouldn't exist because games are made on PC. ^u^

I don't think its really a fair comparison to judge the two on any sort of the same level. Consoles have the disadvantage of not being able to be upgraded or having parts switched out like a PC can. And PCs obviously have the superior power compared to any console that is out today.

Well everyone has the right to there own opinion its just not a logical one. people should know by now pc is better then consoles i think some just depend it on exclusives.

The point of the thread is comparing a console to a PC. Nobody can say a PC is 'better' because that is all personal preference. However, PC's are certainly more powerful and optimized. You can do anything with a PC, whereas a Console can't therefore they should not be compared. A PC is not a Console.

Whoever tries comparing consoles to PCs needs to reevaluate their life and consider going back to Primary School
