I'm sorry if this seems like a dumb question! I didn't really played AW and from what I read it killed the game. So what's the harm in it? I don't believe I experienced this yet! Any info???

Players of average or higher skill match the tryhards. SBMM would be fine if you actually matched people of similar skill. But it pretty much just sticks you with tryhards. And like previous comments said, trying your heart out every game isn't fun.

Not to mention the the hire the score or kd the less people to match they match you up with that live near your which means just like AW lag lag lag.
