How can I improve the speed of Windows 10 on my computer? I recently starting using Linux and it's much faster than windows (of course).. but why does it take a long time for my system to "run smoothly" for windows? I disabled everything via task manager and I run of a core i3.

Generally it is because Windows is packed with more endorsements and promotional programs. Linux is very clean with the install and the default programs it has.
Speeding it is a hard thing to, just do. Make sure you have no bloatware like programs you don't use anymore. Run some scan with Malwarebytes and make sure you have no unwanted files.
That is really all I can suggest man,

Windows has more than expected, most Linux distributions are "as is" so that is why Linux is somewhat faster than Windows.
You can improve the speed by limiting the number of programs started at boot-up, disable graphic effects, disable screen-savers, etc.
