This thread contains MAJOR plot elements and character developments and relationships. If you do not want to be spoiled, don't continue. You have been warned.
Characters
Han Solo
Rey
Finn
Kylo Ren
Supreme Leader Snoke
Captain Phasma
BB-8
Poe
Thought he was a little under used like Phasma, but all in all a wonderful character. Really can't wait to see his relationship with Finn continue! And 'what a hell of a pilot!'[/b]
What a beautiful way to go out! The light fading across Kylo's face from light to dark, their grips struggling on the saber, his face fully turning dark as the sun fades away, just wow... I've never really seen a more beautiful death for such a beloved character in such an outstanding series spanning over three decades. He finally got his wish! I also really loved how he finally used Chewy's bowcaster! I really think he enjoyed himself in his final Star Wars role.
Rey
I think Rey developed beautifully through the movie. Personally I think Rey is Luke's daughter? Maybe? I don't know. I love how she shows through her character just how strong the light side of the force can be by outdueling a trained (not fully trained though) Kylo Ren.
Finn
Let's just start with the opening scene of him along with his fellow stromtroopers descending onto Jakuu. The trooper that was shot and Finn alike both showing emotion for each other, it shows they are people too, not just mindless monsters. Secondly, I love how comical his character is! And just maybe, as crazy as it sounds, I think he may be force aware as well. There's never been a trooper just turn on his cause like that, and he now knows right from wrong. Personally love his character and I think John Boyega really outdid himself!
Kylo Ren
Wow. What a depressed, angry, psychotic, confused, power hungry and immensely dominant man this is. His training still isn't done, and honestly that scares me for the future of some characters. I think he'll go on to kill another major character before all is said and done. He wants with everything in him to be like his grandfather, Darth Vader, and it's driving him insane. But that's what I like about his character; he feels the light side of the force before killing Han, and now his journey to the dark side has been completed.
And also, who said him being the son of Leia and Han? That was a game changer no doubt. But I do like how they nonchalantly gave you the reveal. It just makes me think there's a much more sinister and reveling moment to come.

Supreme Leader Snoke
I love the similarities between the Emperor's hologram use and his. Both project themselves to be much larger than they actually are. He is most definitely the new Emperor, and honestly besides the obvious facts I don't know what else to think. I hope his character is just as compelling as the Emperor's.
Captain Phasma
I know they are just building up her character like Bobba Fett's, but I wish she would have been used a little more, like maybe show just how dangerous she is, ya know? Really looking forward to see what becomes of her character.
BB-8
I really love the character. I think they might have overused him a little bit, but overall it was nicely, nicely done. the thumbs up with the flame really gave me concrete feelings towards him. Can't wait for the comical interactions between C-3P0 and R2!
And I never knew such emotion could be shown through a robot's perspective. WOW!

Plot
I thoroughly enjoy how in this movie how the characters basically said, "Oh this needs to be done? Let's go do it!" instead of dragging EVERYTHING through multiple movies. Now that being said, only one plot element was finalized, obviously the base being destroyed.
Kylo and Rey's relationship is so strange to me. He looked at her at the very end of the film like he knew something we all didn't, and I really want to know what he saw in her quite honestly. I personally think they'll meet again in the next movie, Kylo will win, and THEN Luke will start to train her.
As I said before, I don't believe Luke will even accept the saber given to him. That shot at the end lasted way too long for him to accept it. I think he'll become the next Yoda, never fight with his saber, and then finally train Rey after she's defeated, much like Yoda did for Luke.
I really enjoyed the overall comedic nature of some of the moments throughout the film. And I love how they paid such homage to the original trilogy.
I can't stand how sad Luke looked at the end. He must know about the planet's destruction and Han's death. He chose action and created evil, in this case Kylo. He chooses inaction and Han perished. He must feel hopeless (ha).
I think John Williams conducted the score beautifully, as always!
And as for J.J. Abrams, wow. Not only did he create an immense story full of beautiful characters, he also paid homage to the stories before his. He really outdid himself.

Overall I throughly enjoyed the film, honestly it's my favorite yet. What does everyone else think?
