I was wondering how I would be able to transfer all of my files on my current laptop onto my new one. Thanks.

You can do a windows file transfer but i really suggest only moving over documents and pictures and reinstalling everything else so no problems occur.

There are a few ways you could do this.

External Storage

If you have a USB drive, SD card or external HDD you can simply transfer the data from your laptop onto any of these, and then transfer them onto your new one. This would be the easiest and less hassle.

Online Storage

If you don't have any external storage devices, you can create a Dropbox account (FREE) and they allow you to store up to 500MB for free upon sign up. The longer you are with them, the more storage data they give you. You can upload your files to this website on your laptop, then on your new one you can go back to the website to download them. This takes longer, and doesn't give you as much storage, but would totally work.

If for some reason you can't do any of these, you could always just pick up a USB-to-SATA cable off Amazon (under $5). This allows you to take your old laptop hard drive out, plug it into this cable, and then read all of your files on your new computer. When you open this, there will be a folder called Windows, User, Your Name, then all of the Pictures, Documents, Music etc.

USB-to-SATA -> [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Hope this helped

I'm not sure, but if you have an ssd drive it should be relatively easy to unscrew your laptop and replace them giving you your files onto a new system?
