So I had a hard drive from my old computer and I want to put it in my new one but isn't there something g I need to do to get it to work with the new hardware?

As long as you have the correct SATA connections you should be fine. What HDD is it and what motherboard do you have?

its is a 1tb western digital and [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] but what about the drivers will they just install by them seleves i have alot on that HDD

SATA drives are plug and play and also hot swappable so you can plug them in whenever you like and even when the system is running.
