Alright so I own a 1989 dodge cummins and my front main seal is leaking pretty bad and I can only find the front main seal for the 1994 and up I know the 1994 is basically the same motor except different injectors turbo and it has the ppump but I'm wondering will a gasket for a 94 work on an 89 thought I'd ask someone before I went ahead and ordered it

It won't work. You will be looking for 1989-2002 parts. Generally speaking, 99% of the time parts have to come out of the same year range of vehicle as yours.

Go ahead and try it, even though every thing seems the same, it's not. Been there, tried that.
