I'm considering buying the ASUS ROG gaming laptop: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

But there is also a 16GB version, is the extra RAM worth it?

8 gig of ram is completely fine for what you're going to be using it for (gaming).

8 gig is great and can easily run most games, but 16 gb ram is not necessary but why not?

Im more amazed that people are able to pack a Laptop for gaming these days
But yeah 8GB is the perfect amount in my opinion and 16 is just overkill for a laptop

When using programs that need fast or heavy rendering. Like 3D modeling or cartography rendering.
